We are committed to ensuring the protection of your Personal Data and your Privacy. To better protect your privacy, we provide this page, explaining our online information practices. By using our sites and/or our online pages available on platforms and social networks, you accept the conditions of this Regulation relating to the protection of Privacy. If we change our privacy policy, we will post the changes on this page to let you know what information we collect, how we use it, and whether that information is shared with other parties.  

 

What terms do we use in this Privacy Policy? 

  • M-Advise, whose head office is located at rue de la Prévoyance 2, 6040 Jumet,  and all of its affiliates worldwide are referred to as “M-Advise”.

 

  • We use the term "User" to refer to users of our websites, online pages and services.  

 

  • We use the terms "you", "yours" and "yours" to refer to the User reading this Privacy Policy.  

 

  • We use the terms "we" and "our" to refer to M-Advise, the data controller.

 

  • We use the term “Personal Data” to refer to personally identifiable information about you.  

 

  • We use the term  “General Data Protection Regulation” or “GDPR” with reference to the  Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/ 46/EC.

 

What information do we collect?  

 

We control the non-personal data collected on our activity logs ("server log") of our servers. This data includes, for example, the number of visitors to the site, the most popular pages, navigation systems and browser type. We use this information to help us improve our website and improve your visiting experiences. The  Activity logs from our servers do not collect Personal Data.  

 

We may collect Personal Data in connection with a communication, application or service  provided to you, including your name, address, age, contact details (such as an email address or telephone number), IP address,  social network user id. The types of Personal Data we collect depend on the communication, application or service you request or receive. In general, we obtain Personal Data directly from you or by using an automatic login function (such as “Facebook Connect” or “LinkedIn Sign In” for example). You can always choose not to provide the requested information, but we may be unable or unwilling to provide you with the requested communication, application or service.  

 

By checking the box available on the relevant web page and providing us with your Personal Data, you will be deemed to have given us permission to process such Personal Data in the manner set out in this Privacy Policy. We may need to provide your Confidential Data to our subsidiaries and/or our subcontractors in accordance with the Law relating to Privacy and/or the GDPR, and located in any country including outside the European Union, even if that country does not provide an adequate level of protection for your Personal Data, solely for the purpose of carrying out such processing.

 

We will not disclose, sell, rent or trade any personally identifiable information to any other organization or entity, except after notifying you and receiving your express consent, or as required by law.

When you visit our online pages on a platform, a social network (Facebook, Google+, ...) or a third-party website, you are also subject to the regulations relating to Privacy and to the terms and conditions of these platforms, networks. social and third-party websites. For what purpose do we collect Personal Data and for how long do we keep your  Personal data ? 

We will not use your Personal Data for purposes other than those set out in this Privacy Policy or to pursue the purposes specifically stated when we collect it.  

 

The legal basis for processing your Personal Data is your consent. You have the right to withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of the processing based on the consent given before its withdrawal.

Where permitted by law, we may share Personal Data with affiliates within our group or with selected third parties (e.g. financial services companies, marketing companies) to enable them to sell their own products or services to you. services or those of selected third parties. Before we share this Personal Data, we offer you the opportunity to choose whether you want this Personal Data to be used in this way. You also have the right to object, free of charge and at any time, to the use of your Personal Data for marketing purposes by contacting us at the contact points mentioned at the end of this Privacy Policy.  

 

Persons and companies to whom we may transfer Personal Data for one of the reasons mentioned above may be located in Belgium or in other countries. These other countries may not have laws that provide the same level of data protection as the Privacy Act and/or GDPR. In any case, these people and companies must agree to protect any Personal Data that we transmit to them against any improper use or disclosure. We will put in place appropriate contractual safeguards with respect to such persons and companies providing services to ensure an equivalent level of protection of Personal Data, as required by the Privacy Law and/or the GDPR .  

 

We keep your data until the purpose for which it was collected is achieved.

How to access, review or delete your Personal Data? 

Under the Privacy Law and/or the GDPR, we will make your Personal Data available to you for review upon your simple request. If you tell us that any Personal Data is incorrect or is being used inappropriately, we will correct, update or delete the Personal Data as appropriate. 

You also have the right to ask us to delete Personal Data or to restrict its processing or to object to processing as well as the right to data portability.

Are your Personal Data protected? 

We maintain reasonable security standards, both physically and electronically, including encryption, passwords, physical security measures and management procedures to protect the security and confidentiality of Personal Data. Only a limited number of people among us are authorized to access, delete and modify your data. We will use reasonable efforts to ensure that your privacy interests are protected. 

Restrictions 

If the information received causes harm to others, is obscene, threatening, criminal or has criminal implications, we reserve the right to use, transmit or store such information as we deem appropriate in our sole and absolute discretion. 

Do we review whether users open our emails? 

Our e-mails may contain a one-time-use pixel tool (web beacon pixel) to inform us whether our e-mails have been opened and to check which links and advertisements have been clicked on in the e-mail. We may use this information for purposes such as determining what content is of most interest to our users, knowing whether users who do not open our emails want to continue receiving them, and informing advertisers of the total number of users who clicked on their ads. The pixel tool will be deleted when the email is deleted. If you do not want the pixel tool downloaded to your device, you must choose to  receive our emails in plain text rather than in HTML format. You can also set your email software to disable the pixel tool.

 

 

Complaint, Applicable Law and Jurisdiction 

Any dispute relating to the use of this website and/or relating to the acceptance, interpretation or compliance with these Regulations relating to the protection of Privacy will be subject to the sole jurisdiction of the courts of Brussels which will apply the Belgian law.
